McAtee Run is a new neighborhood of 10 estate lots on 16.7 wooded acres of prime Bluegrass land located on Tates Creek Road in south Lexington. The old Barbour farm has been carefully transformed into a neighborhood of generous lots varying in size from 1.0 to 1.6 acres.

Every effort has been made to preserve the rural character of the gently rolling landscape and its mature tree stock.  The land boasts hundreds of trees from 40 different species that have been carefully maintained (some are more than 250 years old). New tree stock from a number of other species will be planted to enhance the landscape further and promote privacy.

To give the neighborhood the timeless appeal found only in the Bluegrass, dry-laid rock fences will be constructed along Tates Creek Road and on either side of the interior country lane.  Each house will have a unique design and will adhere to the highest caliber of construction standards.  The entrance gate will provide an elegant signature to the neighborhood and offer residents privacy with video and electronic surveillance.  A large woodland commons will be created within the 0.75 acre loop of the country lane to provide residents with a shared scenic space.
